Looking at the possibility of non-photorealistic rendering with a hatching/woodcut shader. Creates a similar feel to my scratchy styled drawing that has been lost in my current textured model. Planning to try play with this once I UV map me model, sigh.
3D animation with 2D elements examples -
The smoke / ink in the water in this animation would be good to imitate to go along with the hand drawn shadow elements that I want to do.
