Initial Research

To begin the project I wanted to do a little research into animal rescue and also SPCA itself so I have a few questions ready when we go to the SPCA in Wellington.

The brief had some basic information on what SPCA is about and what they aim to achieve with the animals they rescue etc.I found this video on a past promotional ad that SPCA has used. Although its quite old, it's a good starting point to further understand what the SPCA wants to portray their organisation and how they want people to react.

This ad is focusing on creating sympathy from the audience toward the animals and therefore attempting to develop a need for the audience wanting to to something about the animals in distress without a home.  

On a tangent to this, I have recently seen a few videos on animal rescues that have saved product testing animal, particularly beagles. I personally found these videos very emotional and it definitely made me rethink what kind of cosmetic products Im using.

This example I found is not from NZ specifically but it is definitely something that is found all over the world. I would love to focus my animated poster around these kind of animal rescues, however, I am not sure if it's something the SPCA deals with directly.
