Texturing

First attempt at UV mapping:


As I said before, because I didn't continue the rest of the animation process with this model (because Emma is silly and didn't think) I couldn't use it to texture my model at all. However, looking at how I unwrapped the UV map in this case, Im glad I did start again as I feel my second attempt created a less stretched version of each of the faces making a smooth overall look to the texture.

Final UV Map:


 

The texture I made for Pongo is a smudgy white to contrast with the black background. I wanted to have some elements of grey within it to give it a little depth and to play on the fact that he is not perfect when you look at the details but from a distance he's just like any other pet dog.




Just a cool wee shot of Pongo in the first scene. As you can see, when not as close up Pongo looks as though he is fully white.
